How do you capture or predict the human experience of design and replay it to build empathy and drive better design decisions? This session will present a technical workflow spanning three research projects: real-world experience capture (The Bentway, Toronto), XR-based capture in virtual environments, and agentic simulation of human behavior. Learn how Autodesk Platform Services powers a system where human-experience data—whether captured using sensors, or in VR, or predicted using AI—can be replayed by designers to better appreciate the diversity of the human experience of design. We’ll explore the technology that will power future human-experience-driven workflows, from sensors and VR headsets to knowledge graphs and vision language models.
Learning Objective 1: Learn how to implement a workflow to capture and structure human-experience data.
Learning Objective 2: Learn how to integrate real-world and XR-captured data into simulation-ready digital environments.
Learning Objective 3: Learn how to build agent-based simulations using AI models to replicate human behavior patterns.
Learning Objective 4: Learn how this technology might change the way we design.
